Smartkidz play and learn is a multi setting provider, winners of the Playwork setting of the year 2022 at the club central out of school club awards. We have a large focus on forest activities and outside activities we are looking for enthusiastic and creative members of staff who have a passion to provide top quality Care and environments for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old. We have a strong outdoor and forest ethos and promote outdoor activities.

Safeguarding

Playleader

Smartkidz @ Swaffham

 Smartkidz Play and Learn is excited to announce the launch of our new breakfast, after school, and holiday club at Swaffham Bulbeck. We are seeking a creative, proactive, and innovative Playleader who aligns with the values and ethos of Smartkidz to spearhead this new venture.
 Position: Playleader
 Location: Swaffham Bulbeck C of E Primary School
Type: Part Time Permanent
Responsibilities include :-
-Develop and ensure a variety of creative play opportunities for children, following and completing activity plans.
 - Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and offer nutritious breakfast and snack menus.
- Work within the Early Years statutory framework to promote early development.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring all tasks and paperwork are completed accurately and on time. This includes updating risk assessments, fire safety procedures, and incident reports.
- Oversee the safeguarding of all children in the setting.
- Attend required Playleader and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) meetings, which may occur outside of usual working hours.
- Maintain effective communication with families through Smartkidz established procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to the safety and well
-being of children.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
- Certified in first aid and child protection (preferred).

2 Years experience working in a supervisory role with children is preferred 

Successful candidate will be expected to complete Designated safeguard training, Paediatric first aid, Food safety level 2 and other necessary training for the role.

We are looking for play workers to help cover and work with our fantastic teams in offering high quality play opportunities to children in our after school and holiday club.

Your role with consist of:

  • Following and supporting staff in the delivery of the PARS model of play work to offer a high level of play opportunities to the children.
  • Preparing and offering snack to the children.
  • Working alongside our policies and procedures to ensure quality childcare.
  • Working inline with our quality assurance
  • Attending relevant training.

Breakfast clubs run from 7:30am to 9:00am.

After school club runs from 15:00 to 18:00.

(This can be a shared role)

Holiday clubs run from 8:00 to 18:00.
